The U.S. team was instead given permission to question Siddiqui and to establish her identity. Snyder said that after the team was granted permission they were led to a room on the second floor of the police station. He was in the room when the shooting incident took place, but there were several differences in his version of events. Snyder had said the curtain behind which Siddiqui was located was partially open when he first came in, but Jefferson said it was closed to the wall.
