APL slams Dr.Aafia Siddiqui’s conviction

JI protests Dr Afia’s ‘unjust’ conviction

The women wing of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) staged a protest outside the Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq on Thursday for what they termed as an unjust verdict announced by the US jury regarding Dr Afia Siddiqui.

The rally was taken out from JI headquarters to Islamia College and was led by the JI women wing leader Ayesha Munawar. The protestors carried placards condemning the US court decision and demanded un-conditional release of Dr Afia Siddiqui.

Speaking to the participants, Professor Ghafoor Ahmed Naib Ameer said that after the courts unjust decision, it has been proven that the US is the largest terrorist country in the world.
