GOLARCHI: The members of the Pakistan Human Rights Development Organization (PHRDO) Golarchi chapter under the leadership of Afzal Arain, Ghulam Mustafa Khokhar, Afzal Shah and others took out a protest rally for release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui on Sunday.

The participants of the rally marched through various roads of the city and reached outside the Naushehro Feroze Press Club.

Addressing on the occasion, the protesting leaders strongly condemned the arrest of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui by American authorities.

They said that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui was convicted in a false case by an American jury.

On the occasion, they demanded for the immediate release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.

Residents of Golarchi protest against shortage of drinking water.

The residents of Ward Number-3 and Ward Number-4 of Golarchi under the leadership of Mumtaz Ali Talpur, Abdul Qayoom Pathan, Naz Notkani and others recorded a protest demonstration against the acute shortage of drinking water in their wards. They said that they have been deprived of drinking water for the past four months, and as a result, they are facing a lot of difficulties.

On the occasion, they demanded of the concerned authorities to take immediate notice of the matter.
Golarchi residents protest against load shedding.

A protest demonstration was staged by the residents of Golarchi on Sunday against the prolonged power outages taking place in the area. Addressing on the occasion, the protesting leaders said that several hours of unannounced load shedding are continuing in the region, while the concerned authorities despite their several complaints have not taken any step in the matter. They added that due to the prolonged power outages their civic life has been badly disrupted. On the occasion, the protestors demanded of the high-ups to take immediate measures in the matter and provide relief to the masses, otherwise they have threatened to accelerate their protest level.
