Dr. Aafia faced inhuman treatment in US: Qari Saad
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani prisoner, Qari Saad Madni released from Guatanamo Bay detention center has disclosed. that Dr. Aafia Siddique is facing inhuman treatment during her detention in the United States.In his statement, Qari Saad Madni said that the behavior faced by Dr. Aafia Siddique is against the humanity and no civilized society can even think of this. Qari Saad Madni said that besides mental and physical torture, Dr. Aafia was harassed sexually and she was detained in jail with men.
He said that Dr. Aafia Siddique is the only neurologist having honorary degree of PHD from Harvard University and obtained nearly 144 honorary degrees from different institutes of the world. Qari Saad Madni said that Dr. Aafia Siddique was arrested with her three children by FBI from Karachi on the allegations of having link with Al-Qaida and she has lost her memory during the detention.
He appealed to the Muslim Ummah and Pakistani people to play their role for release of Dr. Aafia Siddique and urged Pakistani Government and rulers to take a strong stance on the issue instead keeping silence on the issue.
